Springbank has now become a cult distillery among enthusiasts who are won over by its unique taste and by the distillery itself, rustic, chaotic and traditional but cared for and of great quality.
The Springbank 18 Years Old is a lightly peated single malt (15 ppm) distilled "two and a half times", as per the Springbank classic, and aged for 18 years in a mix of casks that previously contained sherry or bourbon.
The bottle does not have a cardboard box, the decision was made by the distillery to reduce impacts on the climate.
