Nose: nimble, gentle and yet full and voluminous with green grapes, fresh mown grass, oak shavings, cinnamon, coriander, cloves, vanilla and honey. Oak wort goes well without being too dominant. The fruit notes waft beautifully back and forth, mix with and separate in between again and again of the spices. Great texture, beautifully matched.
Taste: oily, creamy and just as velvety, as the nose has already suggested. Creamy toffee and vanilla, fresh brownie, pleasantly intense oaky spice, green grapes, pear nut, cinnamon, coriander, a hint of pepper, well-seasoned herbs, malt. Slightly dry over time, but retains the pleasant and distinctive spice-fruit combination.
Finish: medium to long, dry with slightly tart oak, spices, vanilla and caramel sweets.
