A very rare bottling of 1974 vintage whisky from North Port distillery. This has been matured for 15 years in sherrywood and bottled exclusively for Italian importer Sestante.
Nose:
Powerful, honey, intense sherry nose, spices and herbs, ginger, sea breeze, hints of seaweed.
Taste:
Punchy, creamy, sirupy, mellow, good sweetness, yellow fruits, peaches, pineapple, banana, apricot, hints of vanilla, little salty, peppery.
With water: more maritime notes, iodine, seaweed, smoked fish.
Finish:
Long, burning, more punchy, zesty, grapefruits, more spices and herbs
