Nose:
Slightly musty forest soil, which comes just as pleasantly over as the otherwise rather mild and consistent nose, which is also characterized by young, not yet mature bright fruit. Pear, some apple and pineapple. The smoke spreads gradually more, but remains at a moderate level.
Taste:
Very pleasant on the palate. Mild herbal sweets, but again light fruit, this time dominated by the apple. The fact that this tomintoul is mild despite the use of peat, good dose of smoke.
Finish:
Solid in length and sweet-smoky finish.
