A very rare investment grade bottle of 1953 vintage Talisker which was bottled by Gordon and Macphail in the very early 1970's. This bottle has been carbon dated at Oxford University and is supplied with a copy of the authentication paperwork. Also included is a small sample bottle so you will actually be able to taste this rare Whisky without affecting the value of your bottle.
Nose:
Polish, orange, mineral, leather, hints of ashes. It opens more with aeration. Same notes plus apricot, pine resine, smoke.
Taste
OBE took place here and aromas are melted. Mouth is thick at first and quickly drying. Some orange and smoke.
Finish
Medium, drying, salty.
