Nose:
The noose immediately hit with strong furniture polish mixed with dried fruit peels.
Rich dark fruit cake, blackcurrants, raisins, black cherry, Turkish delight, massive sherry, smells much stronger than 46%.
Taste:
Huge sherry burst, massive power zesty with loads of spice thrown in. Dark rich plum, blackcurrants (Ribena) a little raspberry.
The palate settles down and it is still very rich the sherry just keeps coming in waves over the tongue.
Finish:
For 46% it is massive, long, fruity and very rich.
