Nose: surprisingly sweet, really cute. Sugared biscuits, sherry, light sulfur. In spite of the slight amount of sulfur, it is so lovely that salivation begins immediately.
Taste: first, the sweet pastry notes from the nose are still present, then it is also quite a bit tart. The Sherry notes now step back a bit, but now noticeable spicy oak and very slightly bitter notes. The drinking strength fits here quite well, the Laddie is still pleasantly strong and does not seem too watered down.
Finish: here the oak comes through completely, the departure is determined by this. In itself kept rather short, however, the slightly bitter and dry notes of the oak remain quite a long time on the tongue. Clear contrast to the nose.
