First one of a legendary tasting by Thomas for Whisky Van Zuylen.
Nose: old Banff is always a treat on the nose. Straw and green bushes, mustard seed, a little mineral and salt. Dark caramels and brown sugar. Antic furniture with a waxy finish.
Taste: dried fruit, potpourri, sawdust, ginger, lemon, shaved peelings of an orange, cold English blend tea, also spices like cardemon.
Finish: old dusty wood with dried and cooked fruits.
