Nose: sweet and fresh. Hint of red fruit, hay and some coal-smoke. There is a very clear bourbon influence with cream, caramel and fudge. But also a good hint of the sherry influence. Quite a good nose.
Taste: sweet, a little nip of the alcohol. Again some smoke, but not much of a classic peated whisky. It is very subtle. It has again clear bourbon barrel notes, and the sherry is in the background.
Finish: medium length. Here it is where the sherry starts the show. Very clear sherry notes. In the end a tad bitter with clear wood notes.
